In a significant boost to India’s international air connectivity, IndiGo has announced the launch of direct flights from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam to Abu Dhabi. Starting in June 2025, these new routes are set to provide more seamless travel options for passengers in eastern and southern India heading to the UAE.
The Bhubaneswar–Abu Dhabi route will begin operations on June 12 and will run three times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Following closely, the Visakhapatnam–Abu Dhabi service will take off on June 13 with four weekly flights scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
These routes mark an important step in enhancing IndiGo’s international footprint, offering improved accessibility for travelers from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The new services are expected to cater to both business and leisure passengers, while also supporting the travel needs of the Indian diaspora in the Gulf region.
With the addition of these direct connections, IndiGo continues to play a key role in linking regional Indian cities to prominent global destinations. The move not only simplifies international travel but also strengthens cultural and economic ties between India and the United Arab Emirates.
