Akasa Air will launch daily direct flights between Mumbai and Phuket, Thailand, starting September 20, 2025, marking the airline’s debut in Southeast Asia. This new Mumbai–Phuket service will become Akasa Air’s sixth international route, joining its existing overseas destinations of Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Kuwait City. Bookings for the route are now open through Akasa’s official website, mobile app, and leading travel agencies.
Phuket is a favored destination for Indian travellers and a regional trade and tourism hub. The airline’s schedule offers both morning and evening departures, giving passengers more flexibility when planning trips. The launch aligns with the growing demand for direct, affordable international travel in India, spurred by a rapidly increasing number of outbound tourists seeking convenient connections.
Akasa Air’s leadership emphasizes that the new route aims not only to serve leisure travelers but also to strengthen economic and cultural ties between India and Thailand. The airline plans to continue its global expansion while maintaining focus on affordable connectivity for Indian flyers.
Passengers can expect conveniently timed flights, competitive fares, and seamless booking experiences. The airline’s move into Southeast Asia is seen as a strategic step reflecting both evolving travel patterns and Akasa Air’s commitment to growing its international network.
