Autograph Collection Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global family of distinctive brands, has launched its first property in South Asia with the opening of The Soaltee Kathmandu, Autograph Collection in Nepal’s capital. Nestled in the historic Tahachal area and surrounded by 12 acres of lush greenery, the hotel offers a refined stay that bridges local heritage with contemporary comfort.

The property features 285 artfully curated rooms and suites, each blending traditional Nepali elements—like wooden jaalis, Thangka artworks, and exposed brick detailing—with modern design sensibilities. Many rooms offer sweeping views of the Himalayas, Swoyambhunath Stupa, and the hotel’s serene gardens.

True to the brand’s ethos of storytelling, The Soaltee Kathmandu showcases “The Storyteller”, a thoughtful installation that weaves the hotel’s history with personal tales, cultural artifacts, and guest memories.

Dining options celebrate global and regional flavors: from Nepali thalis at Garden Terrace, to Awadhi cuisine at Kakori, Chinese specialties at Bao Xuan, and casual bites at Patio, Rodi Bar, and the Sports Lounge.

Wellness offerings include a full-service spa, outdoor pool, tennis court, and a 24-hour gym equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. For events, the hotel provides 25,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space, ideal for weddings, conferences, and grand celebrations.

Sustainability is a key pillar, with eco-friendly initiatives such as energy-efficient systems, a bottled-water plant, local sourcing, and a herb garden supporting Marriott’s broader environmental commitments.

With this launch, The Soaltee reintroduces itself as a landmark of Nepalese hospitality with the signature charm and individuality of the Autograph Collection brand.
