Brij Hotels, the boutique hospitality brand known for heritage- and nature-focused retreats, is set for significant expansion with six new properties scheduled to open in 2026. Founded in 2016, the family-owned group has rapidly built a distinctive portfolio that includes Brij Lakshman Sagar, Brij Rama Palace in Varanasi, colonial-era Brij Villa in Dalhousie, and Indo-Portuguese villas in Goa. Its upcoming growth will extend beyond India, with the brand preparing to debut its first property in Nepal, alongside new wildlife and nature retreats and additional heritage restorations.
Signature offerings such as Brij Pola in Jawai, featuring 2,500 sq. ft. luxury tents, reflect the group’s focus on immersive experiences. Activities across properties include pottery workshops, fishing, kayaking, cultural walks and farm-to-table encounters. Brij maintains strong community engagement, employing around 70% local staff at each location. International demand remains strong, with rising interest from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the US and emerging South American markets.
