Electric bus fleet to Ajanta Caves

November 19, 2024

Maharashtra’s tourism department has launched a fleet of 20 electric buses to transport tourists to the Ajanta Caves, aiming to provide hassle-free and eco-friendly travel. The first bus was commissioned on World Tourism Day. The buses will shuttle visitors from the parking lot to the cave complex, eliminating long wait times previously caused by diesel buses. The fleet includes both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses with a capacity of 14 to 22 passengers. To enhance the visitor experience, a film on the Ajanta Caves will be shown during the ride, offering insights into the heritage site.
