FLY91 launches daily Kochi–Agatti flights, boosting Lakshadweep connectivity

February 25, 2026

Regional carrier FLY91 has inaugurated a daily service between Kochi and Agatti Island, strengthening air links between Kerala and the Lakshadweep archipelago. The maiden flight, operated on an ATR 72-600, received a ceremonial welcome at Kochi Airport.

Bookings for the route opened last month, and early demand has been encouraging, particularly among island residents. The new connection is expected to improve mainland access through Kochi’s extensive domestic and international network while complementing the airline’s existing Goa–Agatti service.

Enhanced connectivity is likely to ease essential travel for education, healthcare and business, while also supporting Lakshadweep’s growing tourism sector. Agatti, known for its coral reefs, lagoons and white-sand beaches, continues to emerge as a sought-after island destination.

The launch forms part of FLY91’s wider regional expansion strategy, with operations planned at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Nanded, Indore and Dabolim in the coming months.
