In a major leap for Goa’s global connectivity, Manohar International Airport has launched direct flights to Kuwait City and Abu Dhabi via Air India Express. The new services, which began on May 3 and May 5 respectively, mark a significant milestone in enhancing Goa’s international travel reach.
These flights are part of Air India Express’s broader network expansion, bringing the airline’s total weekly operations from Goa to over 115. From Manohar International Airport alone, more than 40 weekly flights are now being operated, strengthening Goa’s position as a key aviation hub on the western coast of India.
The Kuwait route operates twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays, while flights to Abu Dhabi are available on Mondays and Tuesdays. This development is expected to serve the growing Goan diaspora in the Gulf region and attract more tourists and business travelers to the state.
The launch was celebrated at the airport with participation from Air India Express and airport officials, signaling a promising future for international travel from Goa. These new connections not only provide convenience for passengers but also reflect the state’s commitment to becoming a more prominent player in global air travel.
