The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway hotel in Dwarka, New Delhi, marking the brand’s first presence in the capital. The project will rise within The Omaxe State—India’s pioneering integrated sports and lifestyle hub, developed in partnership with the Delhi Development Authority.
Set in Sector 19B, the 158-key Gateway Dwarka will stand beside India’s largest convention centre, the upcoming international cricket stadium, and the expansive Bharat Vandana Park. The location, IHCL notes, is poised to become a high-demand micro-market for hospitality.
Spread across 50 acres, The Omaxe State is envisioned as a vibrant ecosystem with hybrid retail spaces, over 40 dining outlets, entertainment zones, and a multi-sport arena built to ICC and FIFA standards, capable of hosting more than 30,000 spectators. An indoor stadium for 2,000 guests further underscores its global ambitions.
The Gateway hotel will feature an all-day diner, specialty restaurant, bar, spa, fitness centre, and pool, alongside over 25,000 sq. ft. of banqueting facilities. A dedicated Member’s Club will offer curated lifestyle experiences and exclusive venues.
Scheduled for completion in 2027, the development promises to blend world-class sport, leisure, and hospitality in the heart of Delhi.
