The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced plans to develop a new Taj resort in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, further strengthening its luxury presence in one of India’s most iconic tourism regions. The upcoming greenfield project will feature 75 elegant units, including suites and villas with private courtyards and plunge pools, set amid the natural beauty of the Ranthambore landscape.
Designed as an upscale retreat, the resort will offer a curated blend of comfort and experience, with an all-day dining restaurant, specialty dining venue, bar, and safari lounge. Guests can also enjoy a heated swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, and salon, alongside versatile meeting spaces.
Strategically located near Ranthambore National Park, the resort aims to attract wildlife enthusiasts and luxury travellers alike. True to IHCL’s commitment to sustainability, the property will feature solar-powered systems, rainwater harvesting, and locally sourced materials, aligning with the group’s ESG+ framework focused on responsible hospitality.
Developed in collaboration with Vanivinayak Hospitality LLP, the new Taj resort underscores IHCL’s ongoing effort to combine heritage-inspired luxury with modern environmental consciousness. A completion timeline for the project is yet to be announced.
