IndiGo Launches New Flights to Tashkent and Almaty

August 18, 2025

IndiGo is expanding Mumbai’s international connectivity with the launch of direct flights to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, starting September 1, 2025, and Almaty, Kazakhstan, from September 2, 2025. Both routes will operate four times a week, reinforcing the airline’s strategy to establish Mumbai as a major global hub.

This expansion follows IndiGo’s recent launch of Mumbai–Tbilisi flights on August 2, 2025, and builds on its existing direct services between Delhi and the three cities, Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi, since 2023. IndiGo also recently marked its European debut with long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam.

Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, said the airline is pleased to connect these destinations with Mumbai, enhancing travel options for passengers. He emphasized that these new routes will support leisure, business, and cultural travel, offering greater flexibility and seamless booking from India’s financial capital.

IndiGo’s ongoing network expansion from Mumbai and Delhi continues to strengthen the airline’s position as India’s preferred carrier, broadening access to diverse international destinations. This move is expected to benefit both domestic and international travelers who look for convenient connections and enhanced global reach.
