IndiGo, India’s largest airline by market share, is gearing up for a major international expansion in 2025. The airline has announced plans to launch direct flights to 10 new global destinations this financial year, strengthening its international presence and appealing to a broader range of global travelers.
Among the newly announced routes are high-demand cities like London, Athens, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Copenhagen. IndiGo will also begin flights to Siem Reap in Cambodia and four cities in Central Asia, marking a strategic move into both popular and emerging global markets.
Beginning July, direct flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam will take off, with IndiGo leasing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to service these long-haul routes. In a noteworthy development, the airline will also introduce a business class product on select international routes such as Singapore, Dubai, and Phuket—its first step beyond the low-cost model for premium international travelers.
Currently operating a fleet of over 430 aircraft, IndiGo plans to surpass 600 aircraft by 2030. With this aggressive international push, IndiGo is set to offer travelers more choices, better connectivity, and enhanced comfort on routes linking India with the world.
