Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd (KHIL) has announced the launch of two new properties under its mid-market brand, IRA by Orchid Hotels, in the cities of Dwarka and Bhavnagar. Both are scheduled to open within the current financial year.
This expansion builds on the success of The Orchid Hotel in Jamnagar and highlights KHIL’s focus on sustainable hospitality in high-growth destinations. With Gujarat seeing over 70 million tourists in 2024 (driven by religious and heritage travel) KHIL aims to meet the rising demand for branded, eco-conscious hotel experiences across the state.
The Dwarka hotel is located near the Dwarkadhish Temple and will cater to spiritual and cultural travellers, while the Bhavnagar property, housed within a mixed-use complex that includes Himalaya Mall, targets both business and leisure guests.
Both properties will feature energy-efficient infrastructure, water-saving systems, and locally inspired cuisine, aligning with the brand’s eco-first philosophy.
KHIL has also outlined future plans to expand across key cities including Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Sasan Gir, and Morbi.
