Madhya Pradesh’s Public Works Department (PWD) has announced a major upgrade to its Lokpath App, expanding its scope beyond real-time road conditions. The mobile application, launched in July 2024, will now provide information on inter-site distances, alternate routes, tourist attractions, medical facilities, toll rates, and more, making it a comprehensive tool for residents and visitors alike.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, reviewing the PWD’s performance, directed the department to enhance the app with advanced features to improve usability and public engagement. Since its launch, Lokpath has received 12,212 complaints regarding road conditions, resolving 12,166, a 99.6% resolution rate. Users can report issues by photographing damaged roads, directly alerting concerned officers.
CM Yadav also instructed the PWD to contribute to an integrated urban development policy and emphasised timely completion of highway projects, with proper greenery, safety markers, and an approach that enhances overall quality of life for citizens.
