Robata KUURAKU, a distinguished concept from the globally acclaimed Japanese restaurant group KUURAKU, has opened its doors at Gourmet Village in Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai. The restaurant introduces the traditional Japanese grilling art of Robatayaki, transforming simple ingredients into smoky, richly flavored dishes.
With immersive interiors and Mumbai’s largest sake collection, Robata KUURAKU offers a blend of authentic tradition and contemporary dining. Operated by Japanese chefs, the menu highlights Robata-style grilling over lava stones, enhancing the natural essence of seafood, meat, and vegetables.
A key feature is the open kitchen with counter seating, allowing guests to watch chefs prepare signature dishes like Namatsukune, minced chicken skewers perfected with house seasonings passed down by master chefs. The experience emphasizes simplicity, precision, and purity at every step.
The restaurant also boasts Mumbai’s dedicated Sake Bar, featuring over 30 premium and rare sakes imported from Japan. Certified sake sommeliers guide guests through the curated selection, complemented by unique sake-based cocktails.
Designed with warm lighting and natural wood, the ambiance reflects Japan’s cultural soul, enhanced by sakura-inspired décor. Seijiro Hirohama, Managing Director of KUURAKU India, expressed pride in creating an immersive, authentic Japanese dining experience.
Robata KUURAKU invites Mumbai diners to engage deeply with Japanese culinary heritage, celebrating craftsmanship and culture through every dish and drink in the city’s vibrant gastronomic scene.
