Terminal Change for Air India and Air India Express Flights at Delhi Airport from October 26

October 9, 2025

Starting October 26, 2025, select Air India and Air India Express flights will operate from new terminals at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, marking a significant operational shift aimed at improving efficiency and passenger flow.

Under the new arrangement, Air India domestic flights with numbers beginning in the AI1XXX series will move to Terminal 2 (T2). Meanwhile, all Air India Express domestic flights currently operating from Terminal 3 (T3) will shift to Terminal 1 (T1). Air India Express international services will continue at T3, as will all other Air India flights, including international routes and domestic services outside the AI1XXX series.

Passengers transferring between terminals can use inter-terminal shuttles or walkways with buggy services, depending on their route. For international transfers, travellers must complete standard security and immigration formalities at Terminal 3 before boarding.

Check-in counters will open 2.5 hours before departure for Air India domestic flights (T2), 3 hours before departure for Air India Express (T1), and 4 hours before departure for Air India international flights (T3).

Travellers are advised to check their terminal details carefully before departure to ensure a smooth journey.
