October 1, 2025

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that The Landmark Kanpur will become part of the JdV by Hyatt portfolio, marking the brand’s second property in India. Slated to open in 2026, the hotel is owned by Som Datt Landmark Hotels and Recreations Private Limited and will bring Hyatt’s lifestyle-driven hospitality to one of Kanpur’s most prominent neighborhoods.

The 170-room property is being thoughtfully restored to meet the elevated design and experience standards of JdV by Hyatt, a brand known for its vibrant, neighborhood-inspired hotels. Guests can look forward to a mix of leisure and business facilities, including a spa, four restaurants and bars, and versatile event spaces. A highlight will be the 7,200-square-foot lawn located on the 21st floor, offering a distinctive setting for both corporate gatherings and social celebrations.

With this addition, Hyatt continues its strategic expansion across India, focusing on experience-driven hotels in high-growth cities. For Kanpur, the project represents a new era in hospitality, blending the hotel’s established local presence with global standards of design and service. Positioned as the city’s premier lodging option, The Landmark Kanpur is set to redefine how both residents and travelers experience this dynamic industrial hub.
