In a significant move to promote eco-tourism, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the expansion of the Vistadome jungle safari train service in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. Previously operating only on weekends, the service will now run daily, allowing more travelers to explore the reserve’s breathtaking natural beauty.
The Vistadome train connects Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary to Dudhwa, offering a scenic ride through dense forests and diverse wildlife zones. Equipped with panoramic windows and transparent roofs, the train gives passengers an immersive jungle experience unlike any other. Covering a distance of 107 kilometers in approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes, the ride is designed for comfort and spectacular views. With an affordable fare of ₹275, it’s accessible to a wide range of tourists.
This initiative is part of the state’s “One Destination, Three Forests” campaign, which aims to integrate Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat, and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary into a unified tourism circuit. The expansion is expected to provide a significant boost to local employment, eco-tourism, and conservation awareness.
By making wildlife exploration more convenient and engaging, Uttar Pradesh is paving the way for responsible tourism and reaffirming its commitment to preserving natural heritage.
