IndiGo has issued a travel advisory alerting passengers to possible disruptions across Jaffna, Pondicherry, Tuticorin and Trichy as Cyclone Ditwah brings heavy rain and strong winds to the region. The airline said changing weather conditions may affect scheduled operations and urged travellers to check updates before heading to the airport. Teams are monitoring the cyclone’s movement and coordinating with airports to ensure safety, while passengers have been advised to track real-time flight status and modify bookings or request refunds if needed.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Cyclone Ditwah is currently positioned over coastal Sri Lanka and the southwest Bay of Bengal, moving north-northwest slowly at 4 kmph. As of November 28, it lies around 30 km southwest of Trincomalee and 310 km south-southeast of Karaikal.

The system is expected to continue on a north-northwest trajectory, reaching the southwest Bay of Bengal near North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh by early November 30.
