Sterling Holiday Resorts Strengthens North-East Presence with New Gangtok City Hotel

January 12, 2026

Sterling Holiday Resorts has expanded its footprint in North-East India with the launch of Sterling Mount Olive Gangtok, a contemporary property located in the heart of Gangtok’s Development Area.

Positioned close to MG Marg, government offices and key business districts, the hotel is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers. The property features modern rooms with private balconies overlooking the city, alongside interiors that blend Himalayan warmth with clean, contemporary design. Its dining outlet, Latitude 27, offers a mix of global comfort cuisine and regional Sikkimese specialities.

Well connected to Bagdogra Airport and New Jalpaiguri railway station, the hotel adds an urban option to Sterling’s largely leisure-led portfolio in the region. This is the brand’s second property in Gangtok and fourth in the North-East, complementing Sterling Gangtok Orange Village.

Company leadership indicated that the hotel’s central location and accessibility were key to its design, positioning it as a convenient base for city sightseeing as well as day trips to surrounding Himalayan destinations.
