Air India Adds New Flights to Khajuraho, Varanasi, Jaisalmer and Gaya

March 20, 2026

Air India has announced an expansion of its domestic network, effective from 25 October 2026, with new routes connecting some of India’s most significant heritage and spiritual destinations.

The airline will introduce a daily triangular circuit linking Delhi, Khajuraho, and Varanasi, alternating direction on different days of the week to give travellers flexibility over how they sequence both destinations. Khajuraho is home to UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples, while Varanasi remains one of India’s oldest and most spiritually resonant cities. Together, they form an increasingly popular circuit for culturally curious travellers.

In Rajasthan, Air India will launch non-stop daily flights between Mumbai and Jaisalmer, complementing its existing Delhi-Jaisalmer winter services and opening up direct access from western India to this desert destination. Additional frequency will also be added between Delhi and Gaya, with both morning and afternoon departures.

All new routes are timed to connect seamlessly with Air India’s international services from major European, Southeast Asian, and Far East gateways, making these destinations more accessible on global itineraries.
