Navi Mumbai International Airport Expands to 46 Domestic Destinations This Summer

April 7, 2026

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has announced its first summer schedule, running from March 29 to October 24, 2026, expanding its domestic network to 46 destinations with the addition of 30 new routes.

IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express will collectively operate an average of 156 flight movements daily, scaling up to 1,092 weekly movements across the schedule. Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru and Cochin will see the highest frequency of departures, with connectivity extending to a broad mix of commercial, tourism and religious centres including Varanasi, Ayodhya, Srinagar, Tirupati and Madurai, among others.

The airport, which began commercial operations on Christmas Day 2025 following its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October, is designed to eventually handle 90 million passengers annually. Daily departures are projected to rise from 22 at launch to 78 by April 2026.

The expanded schedule is expected to strengthen air connectivity across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities and support growing passenger demand across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
