Indian Hotels Company has signed a Gateway resort in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, adding to its growing presence in the state’s leisure and wedding hospitality market. The 105-key brownfield project is located on the Jaipur-Agra highway, within reach of the Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most celebrated bird sanctuaries.
The property will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre. A banquet hall spanning over 4,000 square feet, supported by pre-function areas and meeting rooms, positions the hotel firmly within the destination wedding and MICE segments.
Bharatpur’s accessibility from major cities and its draw as a nature and wildlife destination make it well-suited for the growing short-break and weekend travel market, a trend IHCL has been actively building across Rajasthan.
With this signing, IHCL will have 67 hotels in Rajasthan, including 24 currently under development, consolidating its position as the dominant hospitality player in one of India’s most visited leisure states.
