Padmaa Jaipur: A Heritage Haveli Reimagined for the Modern Traveler

May 21, 2025

In the heart of Jaipur’s historic walled city, Padmaa Jaipur has officially opened its doors as a boutique all-suite hotel, offering a luxurious and culturally immersive stay. Set in an 18th-century haveli on Chaura Rasta—a street once used by royal processions—the property has been lovingly restored by the Shah family, known for their legacy in Umrao Jewels.

The architectural restoration, led by Gagan Sharma with interiors by Vaishnavi Bazaz, preserves original features like intricately carved jharokhas, traditional stonework, and hand-painted frescoes. The result is a harmonious blend of regal heritage and contemporary comfort.

Padmaa features 15 exquisitely designed suites, each reflecting stories from the family’s rich lineage. Guests can enjoy authentic Rajasthani cuisine and world flavors at the in-house restaurant. Two uniquely designed bars—a serene courtyard setting and a rooftop terrace with panoramic city views—add to the charm.

What sets Padmaa apart is its curated guest experience. Travelers can engage in artisan-led workshops and heritage walks that delve into the soul of Jaipur’s culture and craftsmanship.

With its fusion of tradition, elegance, and immersive storytelling, Padmaa Jaipur promises to be a memorable retreat for those seeking luxury rooted in history.
