Minimalist Hotels Launches Second Property in Varanasi to Meet Rising Demand

June 20, 2025

Minimalist Hotels, a fast-growing lifestyle hospitality brand, has expanded its presence in Varanasi with the launch of its second property, Minimalist Hotel: The Varanasi Edit, on June 15, 2025. Located in DIG Colony, just 2 km from its first hotel in the city, the new property offers 24 thoughtfully designed rooms tailored for modern domestic and international travellers.

Founder Gautam Munjal cited strong demand and consistently high occupancy at the original location as key drivers for the expansion. The launch comes at a strategic time, ahead of increased travel linked to major spiritual events like the Kumbh Mela.

The new hotel blends minimalist aesthetics with functional design, offering a calm yet contemporary atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy a 50-seater casual dining restaurant cum pizzeria, offering curated cuisine in a relaxed setting.

Situated close to major cultural and religious landmarks, Minimalist Hotel: The Varanasi Edit is positioned to serve both pilgrims and leisure travellers. This move reinforces the brand’s commitment to deepening its footprint in high-growth urban destinations while delivering premium, design-led hospitality at an approachable price point.
