IHG Signs voco Vrindavan in the Heart of Braj

October 21, 2026

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Vrindam Developers to create voco Vrindavan, a 130-key hotel due to open in the first quarter of 2031. The project also marks the developer’s first step into hospitality.

The timing reflects the region’s rising pull. Vrindavan and neighbouring Mathura drew more than 90 million visitors in 2024, and annual arrivals could reach 110 to 140 million within a decade, helped by the Banke Bihari Corridor and better expressway links to Delhi NCR and Agra.

Part of a larger mixed-use development with serviced apartments, the hotel will feature 13 suites, three dining venues, a pool, a fitness centre and over 2,340 sqm of event space, including a 1,400 sqm ballroom.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG, said the town’s spiritual draw makes it a natural fit for voco’s relaxed, characterful style. Ankush Kadyan of Vrindam Developers pointed to growing footfall and connectivity as reasons for the venture. A Holiday Inn Express in Mathura will further extend IHG’s reach across the Braj circuit.
