The monsoon has retreated, and India’s forests are ready. Several of the country’s most celebrated national parks and tiger reserves have reopened for the 2026-27 safari season, with more set to follow through October and November.

- Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh
- Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra
- Kaziranga National Park, Assam
- Manas National Park, Assam
Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand opens select zones from October 15, with remaining zones accessible from November 15. Gir National Park in Gujarat reopens on October 16, and Dudhwa National Park in Uttar Pradesh follows on November 15.
Dates vary by park, zone, and safari type, so it is worth confirming access before finalising plans. Wildlife destinations across southern India remain accessible through the year, offering an alternative for those not wanting to wait.
