Araiya Hotels & Resorts has widened its Kerala presence with Soul by Araiya Paithalmala, a Vihaara Resort, an 18-key retreat tucked into the Western Ghats. Owned by Subhakaran K V and family and run by Araiya, it is also the first property under the new Soul by Araiya brand.
Around 90 minutes from Kannur International Airport, the resort offers 17 Deluxe Rooms and a Honeymoon Suite, each framed to capture sweeping views of the hills and valleys. Warm interiors and a small room count promise privacy and a personal touch.
Guests can join guided nature walks, sunrise and sunset trails, stargazing and mindfulness sessions, or venture out to trekking paths and coffee estates.
Founder Amruda Nair explained that the brand answers travellers who want genuine quality without fuss, and that the team chose to introduce Kerala from its hills rather than its backwaters. Subhakaran described Paithalmala as one of South India’s hidden treasures and said the resort was built to honour its calm, culture and landscape.
The opening reflects Araiya’s growth plan of intimate hotels in distinctive places, backed by local owners.
