Sri Lanka’s Santani Resort Named Among Vogue’s Top 100 Spas

May 4, 2026

Santani Wellness Resort & Spa has earned a spot in Vogue’s inaugural Global Spa Guide, a writer-tested edit of 100 of the world’s finest wellness destinations. For a retreat that has quietly accumulated international recognition, the listing feels less like a surprise and more like a formality.

Perched at 900 metres above sea level within 48 acres of tropical forest near Sri Lanka’s Knuckles Mountain Range, Santani was designed around a single, unhurried idea: genuine restoration. Its open-sided pavilions, glass-walled chalets, and highland-cooled spaces blur the line between architecture and landscape deliberately. Rooms have no televisions; Wi-Fi is available only on request.

Wellness here is rooted in Ayurveda, with each stay shaped around a personal consultation with the resort’s physician. The spa, dining programme, movement classes, and therapies all follow from that initial conversation. The culinary concept, Rasa Haya, earned a Michelin Key in 2025 for its locally sourced, constitution-specific menus.

For travellers based in Asia, Santani is well within reach. Colombo sits roughly four hours from the resort, with seaplane connections also available.
