Air India is Set to Launch its First Flagship Premium Lounge at IGI Airport

November 21, 2025

Air India is preparing to open its first flagship premium lounge at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, marking a significant step in the Tata Group–led carrier’s plan to elevate its ground service standards. The new facility, located in Terminal 3, is expected to debut in the coming weeks and will set the template for upcoming lounges in Mumbai and Bengaluru, scheduled to roll out over the next year.

Designed in partnership with global hospitality firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the Delhi lounge will feature a modern, luxurious aesthetic with refined furnishings, ambient lighting, and interiors aligned with Air India’s refreshed brand identity. The space will showcase contemporary art and décor inspired by Indian heritage, along with a curated food and beverage program.

The lounge will cater to first- and business-class passengers, elite frequent flyers, and Star Alliance members, offering an upgraded experience that matches the airline’s ongoing fleet and inflight product enhancements.

HBA is also assisting in the refurbishment of Air India’s lounge at New York’s JFK Airport. As part of a wider international strategy, the airline is planning additional premium lounges at key global hubs including San Francisco, New York, and select European airports, particularly those serving its long-haul and ultra-long-haul routes.
