Summit Hotels to Open Heritage Property in Varanasi

November 4, 2026

Summit Hotels & Resorts is set to open Summit Heritage Kashinaama in Varanasi on November 1, 2026, expanding its Mandir Collection of spiritual hospitality properties. Located in Bhagwanpur, the 18-room hotel is designed for pilgrims, families and cultural travellers seeking a stay rooted in the city’s heritage.

Owned by Abhinav Rai, the property offers four room categories: Superior Twin, Superior King, Luxury and Suite. Its interiors combine heritage-inspired architectural details with contemporary amenities, reflecting the cultural character of Banaras.

A distinctive feature is its cinematic gallery, designed around a filmstrip concept and showcasing posters of movies shot in Varanasi, including Masaan, Raanjhanaa and Gangs of Wasseypur.

The hotel will also house a restaurant serving exclusively vegetarian and Satvik cuisine. Guests can seek assistance with temple visits and darshan planning at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple. Other nearby attractions include Dashashwamedh Ghat, Assi Ghat, Sarnath and Ramnagar Fort.

The opening strengthens Summit’s focus on spiritual tourism through its Mandir Collection, which combines destination-led accommodation with experiences shaped by local faith, culture and traditions.
