Antara’s New Weekend Getaways in Odisha’s Bhitarkanika National Park

September 20, 2024

Starting August 1, 2024, Antara River Cruises will launch two cabin catamarans—MV Mahanadi and MV Bhitarkanika—offering unique 2- and 3-night vacations in Odisha’s Bhitarkanika National Park. These eco-friendly vessels explore the estuarine region formed by the Brahmani-Baitarani River systems, showcasing mangrove wetlands and diverse wildlife, including the world’s largest population of estuarial crocodiles and over 300 bird species. The cruises, departing from Gupti, feature activities like bird watching, crocodile spotting, and nature photography. With a focus on sustainability, the catamarans use hybrid solar-electric power, minimize plastic use, and support local artisans. Experience a serene blend of luxury and nature with Antara’s new offerings, blending adventure and relaxation in India’s second-largest mangrove forest.
