Universal Studios Comes to India: Delhi to Host First-Ever Indoor Theme Park by 2027

May 5, 2025

Universal Studios is making its grand entry into India with plans to open its first-ever indoor theme park near Delhi by 2027. The massive entertainment destination will be part of a 3-million-square-foot mall being developed by Bharti Enterprises in the Aerocity area, located next to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Spanning around 300,000 square feet, the indoor park will offer a fully climate-controlled environment, making it a year-round attraction regardless of weather conditions. This marks a significant milestone for India’s tourism and entertainment sector, which is increasingly attracting global interest and investment.

Aerocity is rapidly emerging as a top hospitality and leisure hub in the capital. With recent approvals allowing 24/7 operations in the area, the Universal Studios park is expected to boost footfall, create jobs, and offer families and tourists a world-class entertainment experience right in the heart of the country.

This ambitious project not only signals India’s rising stature on the global tourism map but also highlights the potential of Delhi as a future entertainment capital of South Asia. Visitors can look forward to iconic rides, immersive attractions, and the magic of Universal Studios without ever leaving the country.
