Air India Express Launches Direct Trivandrum–Trichy Flights

November 10, 2025

Air India Express has introduced a new direct service between Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) and Trichy (Tiruchirappalli), enhancing air connectivity between Kerala and Tamil Nadu’s key spiritual hubs. Launched on November 1, 2025, the flight operates six days a week, except Mondays from Trivandrum and Tuesdays from Trichy, offering convenience for pilgrims, tourists, and business travellers.

The route is expected to benefit devotees visiting two major Vishnu temples: Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum and Sri Ranganathar Temple in Srirangam, creating a seamless pilgrimage circuit between the states. Trichy also serves as a gateway to Tamil Nadu’s cultural treasures, including Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, and Rameswaram.

The new connection opens greater opportunities for cultural tourism, from exploring temple architecture to experiencing Chettinad’s mansions and cuisine, further enriching regional travel and heritage exchange.
