Andaman to Host Surfing Festival This April

March 9, 2026

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands will come alive with surf culture as Little Andaman hosts a four-day Surfing Festival from 9–12 April at the iconic Butler Bay. Organised by the A&N Administration’s Tourism Department in association with the Surfing Federation of India, the event celebrates adventure and the islands’ rising identity as a surf destination.

At the heart of the festival is the Little Andaman Pro 2026, the opening stop of the National Surf Series and a key qualifier on the road to the National Championship. With backing from the Andaman & Nicobar Tourism Board, 60 athletes will receive fully supported travel from Chennai, along with accommodation and meals from 6 April.

Beyond the competition, the festival offers a broader experience, from bird-watching and stand-up paddleboarding to stargazing and heritage storytelling, making it as much a celebration of the islands’ natural and cultural richness as it is a sporting event.
