Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson Resort Kalimpong, marking the first internationally branded resort in the West Bengal hill station and the group’s continued push into Eastern India’s leisure markets.
Nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, Kalimpong is known for its cool climate, colonial character and views of the Kangchenjunga range. It draws steady leisure demand as an alternative to more saturated hill destinations, and is increasingly attracting travellers seeking nature-led and experiential stays. The town’s proximity to established tourism circuits in the region adds further appeal.
The resort will offer 100 rooms, including 90 standard rooms and 10 suites, with an all-day dining restaurant and a tea lounge. Wellness facilities include a spa, fitness centre and infinity pool. For corporate and social events, the property will feature a banquet hall, conference room, business lounge and multiple meeting rooms, positioning it well for destination weddings and corporate retreats alongside leisure travel.
Currently at an advanced stage of construction, the resort is being developed by Gajbadan Tradewing Private Limited. An opening timeline has not yet been announced.
