The Powder Room Opens In Bandra

September 11, 2026

Mumbai’s Bandra is getting a new kind of evening out. The Powder Room, opening September 3 at Mansionz One on Linking Road, is a dinner and cocktail club built around a culinary concept its creators call MediterrAsian, drawing on the flavours, ingredients, and techniques of both Mediterranean and Asian cooking, with Africa as the connecting thread between the two.

The menu by chef Sahil Singh spans tapas, robata, flammkuchen, pasta, and plancha dishes, all designed for sharing and paced to complement a long evening rather than rush it. The cocktail programme, developed by the Anonymous Food Labs team behind The Lair in New Delhi and AABBCC, takes a similarly considered approach. Each drink traces the journey of a key ingredient across countries, presented through a hot air balloon-inspired visual narrative running through the menu.

The space, designed by Sumessh Menon Associates, draws from Sub-Saharan art and craftsmanship, with a 12 by 5 foot chandelier running through the central spine, kinetic wall sculptures, boucle and suede upholstery, and handcrafted artwork throughout. An Afro jazz soundtrack builds through the evening, shifting the energy as dinner gives way to drinks and conversation.
