Cordelia Cruises Begins Two-Ship Operations in India

November 3, 2026

Cordelia Cruises has expanded its Indian operations with two ships sailing simultaneously from separate homeports. Cordelia Sky has commenced guest operations from Mumbai, while Cordelia Empress has begun its season from Kochi, marking the cruise line’s first two-ship deployment across Indian ports.

The scale of the expansion was evident on October 23, when nearly 6,000 guests embarked and disembarked across the two vessels at Mumbai port. The ships also sailed together along India’s western coast before proceeding to their respective destinations.

Cordelia Sky’s Mumbai programme includes two- and three-night weekend cruises, four-night Lakshadweep voyages and five-night itineraries covering Goa and Lakshadweep. With capacity for 2,280 guests across 1,002 staterooms, the ship offers dining, live entertainment, wellness facilities and onboard activities.

From Kochi, Cordelia Empress will operate weekend sailings, Lakshadweep cruises and international itineraries connecting Malé in the Maldives and Colombo in Sri Lanka. Its routes also include Lakshadweep destinations such as Kavaratti and Minicoy.

Since launching in 2021, Cordelia Cruises has welcomed more than 800,000 guests. The company plans to further expand its fleet with Cordelia Sun, scheduled to join in 2027.
