In a major boost to marine tourism, travelers will soon be able to enjoy a direct cruise ride from Mumbai to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Mumbai Port Authority is preparing to launch this exciting new service as part of its broader vision to position Mumbai as a leading cruise hub in India.
The service will be operated from the newly inaugurated Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Ballard Pier, a state-of-the-art facility spread across 4.15 lakh square feet. The terminal is capable of handling up to one million passengers annually, offering a seamless experience for both domestic and international travelers.
The cruise journey to the Andamans is expected to take approximately 4 to 7 days, depending on the route and sea conditions. This move is not just about convenience—it’s an invitation to experience the beauty of the Indian coastline and the pristine landscapes of the Andaman Islands, all from the comfort of a luxury cruise.
This ambitious project marks a significant step toward promoting maritime tourism in Maharashtra and across India. With stunning views, onboard amenities, and unique stopovers, the Mumbai-Andaman cruise promises to be an unforgettable travel experience for adventurers and leisure seekers alike.
