Sterling Holiday Resorts has entered Varanasi with the opening of Sterling Varanasi, a 33-key hotel near the revered Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple. The launch expands the company’s presence in India’s spiritual tourism market, adding one of the country’s most prominent pilgrimage destinations to its portfolio.
The hotel offers convenient access to Assi Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Banaras Hindu University and the Ganges ghats, making it a base for travellers exploring the city’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
Accommodation includes contemporary rooms, with select Premier Rooms featuring balconies overlooking Kashi. The property also houses Rasa Kashi, a vegetarian restaurant inspired by local food traditions, and Kashi Regalia, a fifth-floor event venue with a partially covered glass roof and 180-degree views across Varanasi.
Guests can explore experiences ranging from sunrise boat rides and the evening Ganga Aarti to temple visits, Sarnath and the city’s renowned silk and culinary traditions.
The opening strengthens Sterling’s network of spiritual destinations, which includes Ayodhya, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Puri and Madurai. Its destination-led strategy aims to combine pilgrimage with family travel, cultural discovery and comfortable hospitality.
