Star Air Adds 24 Weekly Flights To Odisha

September 11, 2026

Star Air has expanded its Odisha network with 24 new weekly flights that began on September 4. This includes a direct Hyderabad-Bhubaneswar service and the reinstatement of the Bhubaneswar-Jharsuguda route. Both services will operate six days a week, covering Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Hyderabad-Bhubaneswar connection links two economically significant cities, with the route expected to serve business travellers, students, and leisure visitors. From Bhubaneswar, travellers can access key cultural and religious destinations including the Jagannath Temple in Puri and the Sun Temple at Konark.

The reinstated Bhubaneswar-Jharsuguda service restores an important link between eastern and western Odisha, connecting the state capital with the Sambalpur region and its industrial centres. Tourism destinations along this corridor include the Samaleswari Temple, Huma, and Hirakud Dam.

The expansion aligns with Star Air’s continued focus on strengthening regional connectivity under the government’s UDAN initiative, as India’s aviation sector extends its reach into underserved markets across the country.
